My first make up haul! woohoo! so i went a bit crazy this week and brought a whole lot of stuff, sometimes i just can't help myself! hope you guys enjoy!
*L.A Girl Cosmetics*
-setting spray, Translucent Powder, Green Concealer.
So i picked up these goodies from work, The L.A Girl cosmetics Pro setting spray, HD Pro Translucent Powder and Green Concealer.
First off, the HD Pro translucent powder is AMAZING, i will now be using it to finish off ALL my looks (unless i want a dewy finish as it is matte finish) but to be honest i prefer matte finish myself.
it just makes your skin feel like silk when you apply it, and like most translucent powders it doesn't "whiten" up your face!
The Pro setting spray I'm 50/50 on, i feel like the bottle is way to small for a start and after awhile left my face sticky, but that could just be me.. The pro is it smells like hair product which i love!
Green concealer! amazing for people with rosacea (red, flushed looking skin) green counteracts red and with this product since it is quite thick a little goes a long way! i have used this one before so this is my 2nd time purchasing and i really do love it.
*Lipsticks*
So I've managed to get my hands on some "LA Splash, Limecrime and NYX" lipsticks, all green aswell! anyone who knows me knows i love green lipsticks, intact any weird coloured lipstick Here are the swatches :)
So the top shade is "Mint to be" from Limecrime cosmetics this is an opaque lipstick from their "unicorn lipstick" range, it smells like vanilla butter caramel (IMO) but its staying power isn't as powerful as i thought it would be, i did try it on and tried eating but it was quite messy, i do still love lime crimes products either way because of the large "out there" colour range. this cost me $30NZD
The last shade is "LA Splash" liquid to matte lipstick in shade "Vindictive"This is like a smokey grey/dark green and caught my eye first so of course i had to buy it, the formula isn't as nice and some liquid lipsticks i have tried i feel like its very sticky, however! the staying power is insane, this stuff just doesn't move once on your lips, the applicator is really average so ill be using a lip brush for this line of liquid lipsticks. This one cost me $20NZD but a group of us from work did a bulk order to save money on shipping costs :)
8/10 for this product :)
SUGAR BABY + RIMMEL
So this is the Rimmel scandal eyes gel liner, to be honest i don't have a lot to say about this product, it cost me $11.19NZD its quite smudgy and the formula isn't that nice, i feel like its quite thick and doesn't spread nicely or evenly, in saying that it is super black which is good! (no one wants a half assed semi black eye liner) i probably won't be repurchasing this product again :( sorry rimmel!
SUGAR BABY!
so this is Sugar babys illuminator/bronzer THIS! is amazing, a compact illuminator/bronzer. the illuminator is great for under eye highlighting for olive-tan skin, and fantastic for highlighting those cheek bones on pale skin, all round an awesome product :) i love using the bronzer for contouring it gives a perfect glow and a LITTLE goes A LONG way! i will always re purchase this product its definately a must have in any makeup kit/ make up bag/ make up table, whatever! and only cost me $10NZD which is CRAZY for this product, the RRP (regular retail price) on this product is about $22NZD :) Thanks for reading guys! don't forget to follow, comment and share! i have heaps of new products I'm going to post about just stay tuned! - Make up By Dylan -
So today I'm going to do a quick review some of my favourite nude lipsticks!
i feel like nudes are important as part of everyday wear, weather you have a full face of make up for going out or just a "quick easy look"
personally nude lipsticks are my favourite! i can't stop buying them (oops)
anyway... on with the review! :)
so 3 of these nudes are from "LA Girl cosmetics" one of my favourite brands
[dreamy, elude, whisper]
Dreamy is from the "Matte finish gloss" range and goes on opaque and drys completely matte.
for only $9NZD these are fantastic. The only problem is with these is the applicator, i would highly recommend using a lip brush.
Elude + Whisper are from the "Glazed Lip paint" range, There are 18 amazing colours in this range and they are FULL of pigment and super glossy so they aren't for everyone.
Also like the matte finish gloss the applicator is rather rubbish and would recommend using a lip brush, these can also get very messy. i only use them for a splash of colour over top of another lipstick. i do however love these products i just wish they lasted longer!
My Personal absolute favourite from all these nudes is my "Jeffree Star Cosmetics" velour liquid lipstick in shade "Im Nude" this is like a pinky/tan nude. The formula for this line of lipsticks is AMAZING, doesn't dry out your lips at all and will last all day, yet easy to remove. it is honestly like velvet goodness on your lips, and even better they are 100% vegan, also the applicator is the best i have ever used!
one of these lipsticks will cost you around $32NZD each, but they are worth every cent!
and last but not least, "Paree" from Australis Cosmetics, this is from their "Velour Lips" range, beautiful coloured nude but just sooooo drying! i would recommend using a lip scrub or lip balm before using any of these Australis Velour Lips. 2 coats is mandatory (IMO) to get the best pigment out of it.
So here are the swatches for all the lipsticks I've just talked about :)
Hope you guys enjoyed reading this! don't forget to follow, comment and share!

So! I have finally got my hands on 6 out of 10 jeffree star lipsticks, and they are awesome, these are cruelty free, vegan and super long lasting, they ALL smell really nice. The colour range is quite good swell (I'm sure he'll be releasing more shades of these as they are so popular) So the shades I have are as follows (left to right) "I'm Royalty" "714" "Im Nude" "Weirdo" "Redrum" And "Anna Nicole"
Ive tried a lot of liquid too matte lipsticks and have usually found them quite drying, but these are so lightweight feeling while worn. The Pigment is crazy although sometimes i do like to put more than 1 coat on, just to ensure full coverage.
As for most liquid to matte lipsticks its best to exfoliate your lips before use.
Application
application for this product is super easy, the applicator is really nice on this specific product, best I've tried on any liquid to matte lipsticks, it has a little "dent" you could say in it which surprisingly really helps! making it super easy to over draw you lips slightly!
SWATCHES
So these are the swatches! well start from the top (the purple one)
Im Royalty- So this is a deep blue based purple, the pigment is great, i only ever use 1 coat, maybe a little extra around the edges just to get a defined lip line without using a lip liner.
714- this shade is light peachy, coral, orange colour, perfect for summer! its super pigmented and super bright! making it perfect for standing out, however i would use 2 coats of this as i find it a little thin.
Im Nude - This is like a light browny pink shade which i am in LOVE with, (nudes are my favourite) the pigment is fantastic for a nude, its such a easy, every day wear lipstick if you don't feel like being so bold!
Weirdo - I LOVE this shade, the perfect matte black! i only used one coat of this and it was PERFECT. maybe not your everyday wear lippy but perfect to make a statement!
Redrum - Such a classic red! perfect for that "go to" glam look or evening outing! again, only 1 coat with this one provides full coverage. pretty sure this shade will suit any skin tone as its literally perfect.
Anna Nicole - This vibrant, orange red is sooooo nice!! perfect for summer or even winter (with the right outfit) very glam, and some what bold. better suiting towards olive - dark skin tones (in my opinion)

So today I am going to review the new L.A Girl pro conceal colour correctors!
I personally LOVE L.A Girl Cosmetics, i have majority of their products in my make up kit!
These are long wearing, good coverage and do what they are meant too! (yay)
These are really affordable products only being $12 NZD, So the purpose of the colour corrector
is to fight skin pigmentation problems e.g redness, dark under eye circles and broken capillaries.
So they come in 3 shades - Green, Orange and Yellow.
So Here are the uses :)
GREEN - This is great for cancelling out really red areas, like when you have a pimple, rosacea, broken blood vessels, and even for people who get red rings around the eyes that can look very pale if not properly corrected.
ORANGE - This is great for getting rid of those dark under eye circles we all hate! also good for darker birth marks, broken capillaries or anything with a "blue" undertone.
YELLOW - This works on olive or tan skin and cancels out those purple-blue under eye circles and dark patches, also bruising!
